Just a reminder for families that HPS is a nut free and scent friendly school. Some students have been bringing lunch items that contain nuts, please do not send anything with nuts.
We also ask that students do not wear strong smelling perfumes/cologne/deodorant etc. to school
Thank you for your understanding.
Dear HPS families,
We're excited to share with you that HPS will be home to a Specialized Supports Classroom (SSC) starting this fall. This classroom is part of a Ministry initiative to reduce learning disruptions due to behaviour, increase teacher capacity and well-being, and support inclusive learning environments. The supports help us in ensuring every student has what they need to learn, grow, and succeed.
The SSC is not a separate classroom space or program, but rather a network of support in our school that helps us meet diverse student needs right here in our school. It allows our team to provide flexible, targeted instruction, interventions, and sensory or regulation supports when needed - all while keeping students connected to their peers and classrooms.
Our goal is to help every learner experience success in the most inclusive setting possible. We're excited about the support the SSC will be able to provide to our students.
If you'd like to learn more, please contact the school.
